1990 is the year of the first transformation, with the direct sale of its products to the dealers. Dakota set up its own commercial network, first in the area of Nord East of Italy, and then all over the Country. As a natural consequence to the increasingly capillary presence of its network, Dakota expanded its offices and increased its own logistics through the purchase of a new warehouse.
Starting from 1999, Dakota also opened subsidiaries in Romania (purchasing also a production Company specialized in wooden products), Spain and Portugal.
The years from 2000 to 2011 marked the consolidation of the internalization of the Company, with the increasement of direct export with a specific department and the growth of the sales representatives in foreign markets.
In 2010 it was created, also, the internal R&D Department and a own Company for the production of the molds, giving to Dakota a complete control on the entire production process (from the idea to the shipment).
In 2016, it was opened the Dakota Stadium, the new centralized and automated logistics platform with over 30.000 sqm of total surface (14,000 sqm of covered area).
In 2017 is activated the 5th Division, Dakota Living, specialized in thermo-treated wood, WPC and Vinyl products for Outdoor and Indoor flooring.
Also in 2017, the second production site for plastic products was inaugurated (with over 32 machineries), and, at the beginning of 2018, begun the works for the expansion of the 1st productive site, ready to host a new set of plastic injection molding machineries on a total surface of 7.500 sqm.
To date, Dakota has over:
- 4,000 products, especially Made in Italy;
- 7,500 customers all over the world (building materials, paint and insulation merchants, hardware stores and thermal-hydraulic stores);
- Sell in over 50 Countries in the world;
- 93 plastic injection molding machineries;
- 000 sqm of production areas;
- 3 subsidiaries in Europe;
- 220 sales representatives;
