Kärcher is regenerating its range of wet and dry vacuum cleaners for work around the house. Depending on their suction power and equipment, the new models are suitable, for example, for car interior cleaning, DIY projects, cleaning in cellars, garages and outside areas, as well as providing rapid assistance for mishaps, both big and small. Numerous customer requests have been implemented on the new devices, including best possible cleaning performance, exemplary energy efficiency, the most versatile application and high efficiency of the built-in filter. Wet and dry vacuum cleaners should primarily be able to pick up large amounts of dirt in the shortest possible time. One particular advantage is the option of being able to vacuum dry dirt alongside damp or very wet dirt and fluids. The floor nozzles of all models are therefore ideal for wet and dry cleaning – no need to change them in advance. What’s more, the WD 6 is equipped with a drain screw for emptying large quantities of water easily.

 

Convenient filter systems

The new vacuum cleaners, even in the entry-level class, are equipped with a cartridge filter which is particularly easy to insert and does not need to be changed again before vacuuming liquids.

Instead of conventional paper filter bags, Kärcher uses fleece filter bags in all models. The fabric material is significantly more robust, longer-lasting and better for handling. The filter must be cleaned regularly to prevent any reduction in suction power. The flat pleated filters used from the WD 4 range sit to the side in a filter box, meaning there is no need to open the vacuum cleaner to clean the filter. Instead, simply lift it out together with the filter box. This can be transported without any dirt escaping.

The top-class devices from WD 5 are additionally equipped with a filter cleaning system. If suction power wanes during use because dust particles are blocking the filter, the particles can be blown off at the press of a button. Doing so does not kick up any dust because everything lands directly in the catch pan.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Devices with a built-in power outlet too

Some models (WD 3, WD 5 and WD 6) are available optionally with a built-in power outlet. As a result, power tools such as a circular saw with dust extraction can be operated directly with the vacuum cleaner. The vacuum cleaner then starts and stops automatically with the tool. All devices are operated with a single, large rotary switch. For the top models of the WD 5 and WD 6 classes, performance can also be continuously adjusted for energy-efficient work adapted to the cleaning task.

 

Many improved equipment details

The devices in the new series now have a parking position, allowing the user to fix the suction hose in place securely with the handle or floor nozzle during short breaks in work. Furthermore, there are storage troughs for small parts and tools on the device head on all models. This is particularly practical for use in workshops. The electric cable, as well as all accessories, can be stowed in a compact manner on the vacuum cleaner for space-saving storage. On models from the WD 3, there is additionally the option to wind up the suction hose on the device. All devices (with the exception of WD 4) are equipped with a blower function to clean difficult-to-reach areas more easily.
