EURO-MAT at the World Expo 2020 in Dubai.

 

The World Expo planned for 2020 finally started on October 20th, 2021 and will be open until April 10th, 2022. A visit during the board meetings was already discussed. Leadax’s invitation made us decide to organize this after all. With many thanks to the people of our partner Leadax, we had a very instructive and enjoyable time in Dubai with some of our members.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

On our first day we learned about the Sustainable City. At first glance, it seems quite hypocritical. Just maintaining all the greenery and cooling the homes seems impossible. However, the concept is very creative and makes use of all imaginable possibilities. Of course solar energy plays a very prominent role in this.

 

The second day we were received by the ambassador in the Dutch Pavilion. The presentation was entirely based on sustainability and circularity. Beautifully and impressively made in collaboration with a number of prominent players in this market.

At a meeting organized by Leadax, Chris Hayward, our president, gave a clear picture of the core values ​​of Euro-Mat and the importance of the role of distribution in optimizing sustainability in the chain.
