Instead of storing on the floor as before, the company Obenauf, based in Ljubljana, Slovenia, stores up to 13 metres of structural timber in cantilever racks from OHRA in the new logistics centre. The cantilever columns also function as supports for a roof that protects the storage items from the weather. By switching from block storage to storage in the 5.7-metre-high racks with six storage levels, the retailer specialising in roofing materials was able to achieve a significantly higher storage capacity, increase the speed of the storage and retrieval processes by 35 percent and significantly reduce damage to the stored goods.
