Euro-Mat updated Digital Data Dashboard
Thursday 4 september 2025Sharing data helps to make better decisions.
Euro-Mat is making a new digital Data Dashboard available to all its shareholders. The platform provides insight into company and market data and is designed to help members make better-informed decisions and make international comparisons.

‘Data sharing is crucial,’ says Eldert-Jan van Herk, Managing Director of Euro-Mat. ‘We developed this dashboard in collaboration with universities and students, and now it is growing into a fully-fledged tool. It gives you insight into the performance of companies, national construction trends and the European market.’
Insight into market and competition
The dashboard includes figures on turnover, subsidies, and market developments, and provides a barometer for the order portfolio. ‘This allows you to see not only how the market is performing today, but also the direction it is heading in the coming months,’ explained Van Herk.
According to him, the strength of the tool lies in its ability to directly compare countries and companies. ‘You gain a better understanding of your playing field and get a grip on your competition. This allows you to determine strategies in a much more targeted manner.’
What is new in this edition?
The 2025 release includes several updates based on recent member input and user feedback. Some of the key improvements include:
- Up-to-date member data: The latest figures have been integrated, ensuring the dashboard reflects the most current state of the network.
- Visual cues and tooltips: Most tiles now feature directional arrows to signal trends, and hover-over tooltips provide quick explanations of what the numbers represent.
- Dedicated sources page: A fully completed “Sources” page is now just a click away from any screen, offering full transparency behind the figures.
- Improved filters: Users can now select multiple countries or companies simultaneously, with clearer visual indicators.
- Refreshed design: A new colour scheme improves navigation , blue for Construction data, orange for Economic and Member information, helping users quickly orient themselves within the dashboard.
Pooling knowledge
The Data Dashboard is accessible via a private login and available to all shareholders. For Van Herk, it is about more than just technology: ‘Our sector has an estimated 100,000 builders merchants in Europe. That is a huge market, much larger than the DIY sector, but it is also fragmented. With this dashboard, we are pooling knowledge and strengthening our joint position.’
He emphasises that sharing data also deepens cooperation within the network. ‘By being open about information, we can learn from each other and make better decisions. This dashboard is a big step towards making our industry not only more transparent, but also more future proof.’
