Czech Republic: DEK opened 4 new locations this summer

Thursday 4 september 2025

DEK, the chain of building materials stores and a major player within Euro-Mat, continues its rapid expansion. This summer, DEK opened four new branches in the Czech Republic – in Litvínově, Moravská Třebová, Český Krumlov and Lipník nad Bečvou. With these additions, DEK is strengthening its position in the Central European market.

DEK has a total of more than 140 branches in both the Czech Republic and Slovakia, a number that is steadily increasing every year. The building materials group is pursuing an ambitious growth strategy driven by regional expansion, with a focus on the Czech and Slovak markets. The company aims to open five to ten new stores each year, both by building new locations and acquiring existing businesses.

DEK started in 1993 as a specialist in waterproofing materials but has significantly expanded its product range in recent years. In 2016, the company acquired electrical wholesaler ARGOS ELEKTRO, and in 2021, concrete element manufacturer BEST and construction chemicals company Stachema. These acquisitions contribute to the creation of a one-stop shop for construction professionals.

DEK is also investing in digitisation and modern logistics systems, such as a drive-in service that allows customers to quickly pick up materials ordered in advance.
