New rotation laser from STABILA
LAR 300: High precision across great distances
Fully automatic rotation laser for horizontal levelling / Working area of 800 metres – ideal for outdoor applications / Quick to set up, easy to use
Rotation lasers are essential in the civil engineering and pipeline construction sectors as well as when it comes to levelling construction sites. In concrete engineering, they help to create formwork and foundations and provide assistance to bricklayers, joiners and carpenters in a whole host of ways. Professional landscape gardeners are also able to use them to their advantage. With the LAR 300 rotation laser, STABILA is expanding its product range to include an extremely robust and highly accurate device for horizontal levelling. The fully automatic, motor-controlled laser is made in Germany and impresses with its high levelling accuracy of +/- 0.1 mm per metre with a levelling range of +/- 5°. With the receiver, its working area extends to 800 metres, making it the ideal partner for applications outdoors as it ensures precise work over great distances.
Quick to start, easy to handle
With its quick self-levelling function, the LAR 300 is ready for use in just ten seconds – then all you have to do is press the button to get started. Thanks to a whole host of well-thought-out details, working with the rotation laser is a breeze. For example, when positioning the laser, integrated LEDs indicate when it is outside the levelling range, and flashing LEDs alert users to vibrations, which are a common occurrence on construction sites. The LAR 300 has a solution to counter their effects: thanks to an automatic re-levelling function, vibrations are offset automatically up to a certain limit value.
To meet the demands of every work situation, the receiver has displays on the front and rear and allows visual and acoustic guidance. You can read off deviations from the reference plane as a number in millimetres directly from the display, allowing heights to be corrected quickly. This feature is what sets this receiver apart from most others, which merely indicate that there is a deviation above or below but do not tell you by how much. As a result, heights cannot be corrected so easily or precisely with these types of receivers.
Well protected
With the STABILA Protector System, the new rotation laser is perfectly tailored to the harsh daily conditions of the construction site. Made from multiple parts, the housing casing is assembled manually for each laser in order to guarantee optimum protection. The system ensures that the laser remains intact even if it falls from the tripod from a height of up to 1.80 metres. Once you have erected it and switched it on, you can simply carry on measuring. Naturally, the LAR 300 is also waterproof and dustproof in accordance with protection class IP 65, and is also resistant to heat and cold from -10 °C to +60 °C.
The LAR 300 is operated with long-life batteries or – as an option – with a powerful Li-ion rechargeable battery. In addition to the batteries for the laser and receiver, a sturdy carry case to ensure convenient transport and safe storage is included in the scope of delivery. The LAR 300 will be available for EUR 1099 from February 2019 and the AE-LAR350 rechargeable battery for EUR 175 (both prices RRP plus VAT).
