Sika increases sales and earnings in the first nine months

In the first nine months of 2018, Sika was able to increase sales by 15 percent to 5.32 billion Swiss francs (around 4.67 billion euros). This is a new turnover record, it says in a message. As part of the implementation of the 2020 strategic goals, the company has set up another country-owned company, opened six new factories and completed three acquisitions. The operating result (EBIT) improved by 9 percent to 728.9 million Swiss francs (around 640.5 million euros). The net profit was increased by 10.5 percent to 527.7 million Swiss francs (about 463.7 million euros), as the interim report of the construction chemicals manufacturer shows. “Our sales teams focus particularly on cities and metropolitan areas to sustainably benefit from the construction of high-rise buildings, the realization of infrastructure projects and the repair of structures and to align the organization to further profitable growth,” says Paul Schuler, CEO.
