Leadax has participated in the ‘Meet the Merchant’ Online Event on 24 February. During this event, we have spoken to several international Euro-Mat members about circularity and sustainable products for supply chains. We would like to thank EA Smith AS – Bygger’n Norge, BIGMAT IBERIA and Grupa PSB Handel S.A. for the time and interesting conversations. During the meetings we spoke mainly about our lead alternatives Leadax Original and Leadax Easy and the impact of circular products in the distribution channels. It was very interesting to hear the developments around this subject in the different countries. Thank you Euro-Mat for making this happen. We are looking forward to meet all the members face to face in May in Palma de Mallorca.
Leadax develops circular and sustainable waterproofing products, such as lead replacements and a flat roofing membrane. The raw material of these products is recycled polyvinyl butyral (r-PVB), which was formerly used in safety glass, such as car windows. This plastic waste used to be dumped or incinerated, until Leadax found a new purpose for it. The products are designed to dismantle and can be recycled after their lifetime so that the derived raw materials can be reused again for new Leadax products. In short, Leadax closes the loop. One of our new breakthroughs is Leadax Roov as our flat roofing membrane. We have launched this product in the Dutch pavilion on the World Expo in Dubai. Leadax Roov is a circular product, specially made for flat and slightly sloping roofs and can be recycled again at the end of its lifetime. Leadax Roov is off-white, lightweight and easy to apply. Furthermore, it can be applied without the need for the use of open fire.
