Further growth of EURO-MAT

On the occasion of their Statutory General Meeting on the 17th May 2010, the EURO-MAT shareholders confirmed the new membership of the BYGMA GRUPPEN A/S company in Denmark.
BYGMA GRUPPEN A/S, with headquarter in Herlev, near Copenhagen, is one of the Danish market-leading groups of builders’ merchants and realises a turnover of 520 Mio Euro (2009).
The group operates the subsidiaries BYGMA A/S in Denmark and BYGMA AB in Sweden, PROFILE A/S, SCANDINOVA A/S, A/S HJALMAR WENNERTH and BYGMA ONLINE.
With a total of 136 outlets (116 in Denmark and 20 in Sweden), the group assures a nationwide covering in Denmark, whereas the activities in Sweden are concentrated in the Eastern part.
The business activities of BYGMA GRUPPEN A/S focus on Building Materials, Timber, Tools & Hardware and a full DIY assortment.
By this new membership, EURO-MAT reinforces its position in the Northern part of Europe and has today an outstanding presence in that area, thanks to its members BYGMA GRUPPEN A/S (DK), DANSK JERNCENTRAL A/S (DK), INTERPARES AB (S) and PUUKESKUS (FIN). Norway is planned for 2010-2011.
